had this to say:
Breed: Great Pyrenees Rottweiler mix
Age: 3 years (started training with Sara as a puppy)
Issues: Reactivity and obedience training seemed hopeless; lacked confidence with him in public.
We did a board and train with Sara when he was a puppy, and he returned home a transformed dog! However, shortly after, we had to leave the country and left him with my father, whose dog is not well-behaved. Upon returning home after a month, he had reverted to old habits and picked up new ones. We knew there might be some regression, but didn't expect it to be this bad.
We couldn't walk him during busy hours in the neighborhood. If we saw another dog approaching, we had to turn and go the other way. He would lunge and bark, almost pulling us to the ground. Fortunately, we found Sara again, and our faith was restored.
Working with Sara, we realized it wasn't just the dog needing training, but us as handlers too (like us tensing up when seeing other dogs). Now, after hard work and putting in the effort and time he ignores other dogs on walks, even if they bark or show reactive behaviors towards him! We're so thankful for the pack walks and spot check group session- as they are great refreshers for us and for Merlot.
We've learned that training never stops. We're grateful for Sara and all her resources (videos and podcasts). Merlot and our family highly recommend Sara and Nicole for your training needs.

Ages: 2yrs, 2yrs
Issues: Resource guarding, insecurity, anxiety, reactivity, socialization, obedience.
*Disabled owner who experiences significant mobility challenges
Program: Virtual Lessons
Sara is amazing. She helped us with two of our pups who had serious behavioral challenges. Sara's approach built credibility and trust in her methods and the results were great! We couldn't be happier or more grateful.
First and foremost, Sara listens. She took the time to understand our pup's issues, and how those issues affect our daily lives. This was key, as it led to positive actions that fit into our routine, rather than disrupting it. Second, Sara is whip-smart at what she does and great at explaining both the reasons driving unhealthy pup behaviors, and why her customized solutions are so effective.

Breed: Bull Terrier
Age: 5yrs
Issues: Reactivity, situational dog hostility, anxiety, obedience, deaf dog skills.
Disabled - Deaf
Program: Board and Train
I rescued my dog, Bunny, 5 years ago and had hit a plateau in her training. My biggest concern was her reactivity around other dogs. I was starting to feel hopeless - I couldn’t take her to parks, her exercise was restrained, and I didn’t feel confident with her in public. I’d always hoped to do a “Board and Train” program, but I was worried about finding someone with experience handling Deaf/disabled dogs. Since coming home from training with Sara, Bunny has improved by leaps and bounds. Her reactivity has been significantly curbed, she’s more responsive to corrections, and our relationship is stronger at home. We take long walks in the busiest parts of our neighborhood every day. There are two unexpected highlights from the experience. 1) My own confidence in handling Bunny has done a complete 180. I’m more knowledgeable and secure in her training and our setbacks no longer feel like failures because I know how to intervene. 2) The follow up training sessions are essential - Sara has become a key support system. Every tool and tip she’s given us serves a specific purpose, which makes me a better trainer at home. I’m so appreciative that Sara and Nicole are invested in Bunny’s success. Bunny has been to our neighborhood park 5 times now and finally got to see Lake Michigan. The best gift I could give my dog is a higher quality of life and this training makes that possible.

Breed: Pit Bull mix
Age: 10mo
Issues: Reactivity, body handing for vet/groomer, situational human hostility, destruction, resource guarding, manic behaviors, obedience, bite inhibition, boundaries.
Disabled – Physical deformity and medical needs
Program: Private Lessons, Behavioral Grooming
5 stars. 1000% recommend. Let me tell you, these women are lifesavers. I have a foster American Pitbull Terrier, who has a deformed paw, chaotic energy, mania, defiant, resource guards, play bites HARD and all around tantrum having adorable 2 year old who destructive eats, and breaks through gates. Oh and she also hates people. 1 lesson, 1, with Sara and Nicole and she is like a different dog. I have tried multiple trainers for months and she only got worse. 1 session with these 2 ladies and she is so much more manageable. I'd been given wrong diagnoses and in 1 session, they were able to identify, what her specific issues were and the work that needed to be done. What's great about this company is you get 2 trainers with different specialties, evaluating and training your dog. The dual vantage point allows them to create an individualized training package that is far superior to other companies. While they do have in home sessions, services you'd find with physical locations like dog socialization, introduction to men, can also be accommodated. I researched about 25 different trainers, and price wise not only is the BEST bang for your buck, the quality you get is unmatched. Work for them doesn't just stop at your session, during the in between times of a session, they check in to see how progress is and give you homework. If a dog graduates a program, they also have bimonthly pack walks and group spot checks where you work a specific skill with your dog in a group setting. These are additional costs but each session here is less than a Taco Bell order. These women work with the hardest cases and are able to turn around behaviors that I thought were a lost cause. If you need a trainer, hire Red Dog Blue Dog Training. You won't regret it.

Breeds: Great Pyrenees mixes
Ages: 3yrs and 18mo
Issues: Reactivity, resource guarding, situational dog hostility, anxiety, obedience.
Program: Board and Train
Sara is the best trainer! Owning a reactive dog can be difficult especially around other dogs and strangers. After completing the Board & Train with Sara, our dog is much less reactive! She doesn’t care about dogs on walks anymore; she used to lunge and bark at almost all dogs. She is so well behaved in the car now; she used to bark her head off at any stranger or dog that approached our car. We are so grateful for her training then and ongoing via regular classes. A less stressed dog makes for less stressed owners! Thank you, Sara!
